FLOOD WATCH FOR MILAM COUNTY until 7 am This Morning

Heavy rain has resulted in swollen creeks, streams, and rivers. If you see water across a road, Turn Around, Don`t Drown.


Use caution driving this morning:
Milam County Sherriff`s office has Road closures CRs 119,  120 and 132, CR404 a mile from CR402 was closed last night 
The US190 at the underpass between Rogers and Buckholts is open.

   The Current Count in the jail remains at 126.
 
(CAMERON) If you were Summoned for Jury Service in Judge Youngbloods 20th District Court for Monday May 20th at 10am DO NOT Need to report. The Case has Been Resolved.

(ROCKDALE) City of Rockdale has issued a The Boil Water Notice (BWN) for the Cordova area, Hunters Chase, Rockdale Apartments, and Youth Opportunity Center are still in effect. Samples of the water were sent to the lab yesterday and results should be available this evening (5/16/2024.) If you have questions concerning this matter, you may contact Rockdale City Hall at (512) 446-2511.

 
(HOLLAND) TxDOT Construction Plan on Bridge Replacement:
DARRS CREEK / SH95 bridge at South City limits started Wednesday 5/15/2024  Traffic reduced to one lane traffic with Stop light. 
This will last for 7 months minimum. 
Expect that traffic will back up into Holland and into the main intersection "flashing light" (Franklin /Travis) and cause major congestion during morning and evening rush traffic. 


(MILAM) Starting Today  May 17, 2024 the Rockdale substation of the Milam County Tax Office will be CLOSED until further notice.
The County seat location in Cameron is open Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm, except for the following days: May 27, June 3, June 19, June 25-28.

(TEMPLE)   An action-packed event featuring breathtaking aerial displays and static displays of vintage and modern aircraft is coming to Temple!
The City of Temple has announced the Central Texas Air Fest is coming Saturday, May 18, and Sunday, May 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. There will also be a concert and drone show on Friday, May 17, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. 
  • 6pm: Gates Open   6:30pm – 7:30pm: Carson Jeffrey
  • 8pm – 9:30pm: Jon Wolfe    9:30pm: Drone Show
 The event will take place at the Draughon-Miller Central Texas Regional Airport, located at 7720 Airport Road.
Event organizers say this aerial show will feature exciting performances, including aerobatics, formation flying, and military aircraft demonstrations. Attendees can also enjoy food trucks, vendor booths and a kid zone.
Tickets for the event are now on sale! Advanced online admission is $15 for General, $10 for children ages 6-17, and children five and under are free. Tickets purchased online must be exchanged for a wristband at the pre-sale ticket booth on the day of the event.

(MILAM)  The Milam County Sheriff’s Office Brown Santa 14th annual Golf Tournament at the Cameron Country Club July 20th.
Founded: Dec 2010 by Sheriff David Greene and is run by the dedicated employees of the Milam County Sheriff`s Office.
Our mission:  To improve the lives of children in Milam County by providing toys and books during the holiday season.
The Golf Tournament is our fundraiser to raise money for the cost of such toys , books and more
